  1. Day 1 · Airport transfer

    Arrive Lisbon

Touch down on the Tagus. Settle into your hotel and take a gentle first walk through Baixa or along the river.

Stops: Lisbon Airport arrival · Praça do Comércio · Dinner in Bairro Alto or Cais do Sodré

  2. Day 2 · City touring

    Lisbon by private car

Alfama’s alleys, Belém’s monuments and a sunset miradouro — the capital at a private-driver pace.

Stops: Alfama & Sé Cathedral · Belém Tower & Jerónimos Monastery · Pastéis de Belém · Miradouro da Senhora do Monte

  3. Day 3 · 1h each way

    Sintra’s palaces

Misty hills, romantic palaces and a cliff-top fortress — Sintra is made for a private vehicle, not a coach queue.

Stops: Pena Palace · Quinta da Regaleira · Cabo da Roca

  4. Day 4 · 1h 45m

    Lisbon → Évora

Leave the capital for whitewashed Alentejo — Roman columns, a bone chapel, and cork country light.

Stops: Depart Lisbon · Évora historic centre · Chapel of Bones · Hotel in Évora

  5. Day 5 · 2h 45m

    Évora → Lagos (Algarve)

South through plains and cork forests to the limestone cliffs of the western Algarve.

Stops: Depart Évora · Lagos old town · Ponta da Piedade

  6. Day 6 · Coastal loops

    Algarve cliffs & villages

A free-form day: beaches, fishing villages and coastal viewpoints at your own pace.

Stops: Praia da Marinha · Carvoeiro · Silves Castle (optional)

  7. Day 7 · 3h 15m

    Algarve → Lisbon

A longer but scenic northbound drive with a stop in the Arrábida or Setúbal area if time allows.

Stops: Depart Lagos · Setúbal / Arrábida viewpoint · Lisbon hotel

  8. Day 8 · Airport transfer

    Depart Lisbon

Private transfer to the airport — or extend with a Douro add-on if you have more days.

    Stops: Lisbon Airport departure

When to go

Best months to travel

Spring (Apr–Jun) and autumn (Sep–Oct) are ideal — mild days, grape harvest in the Douro and Alentejo. Summer is hot inland and perfect on the Algarve coast; winter is mild but wetter in the north.

Common questions

It is the right length for a private-driver loop of Lisbon, Sintra, Alentejo and the Algarve without feeling rushed. The Douro is a natural extension if you want a second week.

Yes — a professional driver-guide stays with you throughout. In Sintra and major monuments we can add local walking guides on request.

Entirely. Swap a beach day for more time in Évora, or reverse Algarve nights — your specialist re-prices the private vehicle and hotels.
